– About the Landscape Forum
The theme of the forum is Sarajevo – Unity in Diversity. Cultures, meanings and landscapes in transition.
The poster is included at the thematic group 1 | Urban growth and peri-urban sprawl. Innovative practise.
The other three thematic groups for the landscape forum are: sustainable tourism, heritage and identities and rural fringe.
Other cross-cutting themes included are the following: climate change, public participation, European Landscape Convention, water management, sustainable landscapes, perception and environmental assessment, landscape awareness.
Also contributions from a variety of disciplines such as: architecture, arts, geography, agricultural sciences, dendrology, economics, environmental psychology, forestry, hydrology and water management, IT, archeology, ecology, regional planning, social anthropology, sociology, tourism, urban design, etc.
– About LE:NOTRE Institute
LE:NOTRE Institute is a thematic network in Landscape Architecture. LE: NOTRE web site provides a richly interactive platform for communication and the sharing of information.
As well as being an acronym for ‘Landscape Education: New Opportunities for Teaching and Research in Europe’, the name also pays homage to André Le Nôtre (1613 – 1700), the famous French landscape architect, who created the parks and gardens of Vaux Le Vicomte and Versailles amongst many others.
