11 – 25 / January / 2016 :

Exhibition. Date as per postmark (Paris, France)

WHAT?
Postcard Garden (Carte postale du jardin), is the postcard for  Date as per postmark (Cachet de la poste faisant foi), a collective exhibition of Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes (PEJA).
This exhibition has been curated by Valentine Busquet and will take place at the Villa Mallet-Stevens, the headquarters of  Hippocrene Foundation. The architect’s former workshop and emblematic place will display on its walls around 1000 and 1500 international artists, who have taken over the specially-printed postcards for the occasion.

Date as per postmark

It is imagined as an enhancement of the written and artistic expression through the postcard object and through the intervention of artists, creative vectors of exchange and sharing.

Difficult to escape: souvenir shops in the most diverse businesses, stations at airports, tourist information offices in the receptions of hotels, postcards are everywhere and have the largest number of points of sale in the world. Symbol of mobility, the postcard becomes, within the framework of this exhibition, the artistic object.
